Job summary

The role requires safe handling using forklifts and manual techniques, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding cargo and following DOT guidelines. You will interpret shipping documents, secure loads for transport, and coordinate with service center staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong safety mindset and team focus essential.
• Experience with freight loading/unloading procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift, pallet jack, or manually.
• Secure freight inside trailers with straps, airbags, or other restraints.
• Read and interpret shipping labels and forms (shipping orders, freight bills, manifests).
• Monitor freight movement and locations using the dock yard management system.
• Perform hand-loads, rewraps, or stacking as needed to ensure safe loading.
