Qualifications include a high school diploma and knowledge of loading techniques, DOT guidelines, and freight paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and freight handling.
• Familiarity with freight forms and shipping labels.
• Ability to operate forklift and use pallet jacks.
• Must be available to work various shifts to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift, pallet jack, or manually.
• Transport freight within the service center.
• Monitor freight locations with Dock Yard Management System.
• Read shipping labels and complete freight movement forms as needed.
• Secure and strap freight inside trailers to prevent damage.
• Maintain quality loading of all trailers.
