Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 3 years of work experience.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to carry out multiple tasks independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must be in good physical and mental health, capable of meeting job demands.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Current certification in First Aid, CPR/AED required or to be obtained within two months of hire.
• Successful background check required.
• Guard Card training within 30 days and maintained throughout employment.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operations by providing security presence during business hours and monitoring cameras.
• Report security and maintenance issues via log, email, and phone.
• Exercise sound judgment and follow nightly security script to ensure doors/windows/gates are secure.
• Monitor camera system during rounds and review footage for management.
• Provide access and supervision of cleaning and maintenance vendors.
• Interact with clients and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
• Operate office equipment to communicate with staff and vendors.
• Work independently overnight with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a detailed communication log of irregularities for management review.
• Provide basic information about the facility and programs as needed.
• Investigate/report activity and incidents as necessary.
• Monitor and supervise client social activities.
• Set up/takedown furniture and equipment for programs and building uses.
• Remove trash and recyclables.
• Operate HVAC, alarms, and utilities after training.
• Maintain the facility’s grounds appearance.
• Respond to leaks, power outages, or damage during inclement weather and report accordingly.
• Perform other duties related to Overnight Building & Security Attendant.
