Job summary

The Salvation Army Southwest Division in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Part‑Time Building & Security Lead to supervise security attendants, manage schedules, and support overnight operations at the Kroc South Mountain center. You will work under the Facilities Director, train staff, review timesheets, coordinate with other departments, and ensure building safety and accessibility during events.

A HS diploma and 3 years of security/facilities experience are required, with flexibility for evenings,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three years of work experience in security, facilities maintenance, or related field required.
• Prior experience leading, supervising, or providing work direction preferred.
• Ability to train employees and provide day-to-day work direction.
• Ability to organize schedules and coordinate shift coverage.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Must be available to work overnights; evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
• Certifications in First Aid/CPR-AED within two months; Guard Card within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and work direction to Building & Security Attendants; assign and prioritize work.
• Coordinate staffing and shift coverage; adjust duties to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Set and communicate the security team’s schedule.
• Review timesheets in UKG and approve them.
• Lead security team meetings and training sessions.
• Assist Facilities Director with 90‑day and annual performance reviews; hiring processes.
• Ensure site access control and coordination with vendors; monitor cameras and security operations.
