Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to safeguard facilities, staff, and customers in Phoenix, AZ. The role monitors surveillance, handles incident response, and manages access control while coordinating with emergency services as needed.

The position requires a High School Diploma (preferred), strong English communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will work Wed 2 AM–6 AM and Thurs–Sat 6 PM–6 AM, ensuring safety and protecting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitors security events, logs, alerts, and other data to identify incidents and resolve them promptly.
• Monitors sites with technology to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
• Responds to emergencies (thefts, fires, medical, workplace violence, natural disasters) and assists in evacuations.
• Controls facility access; verifies IDs and maintains visitor logs.
• Prepares accurate incident reports and maintains documentation (photos, video, notes).
• Maintains awareness of local emergency services and coordinates with external agencies.
• Performs live video surveillance to detect theft and security issues.
• Trains and certifies staff on asset protection and security procedures.
