Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a housing facility attendant to manage overnight intake, ensure safety, and maintain orderly records. You will verify eligibility, monitor residents, and coordinate distribution of essentials such as meals and linens.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years in security or social services, and First Aid/CPR training or readiness to obtain within 30 days of hire. This role requires strong English communication and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in security or social services.
• First Aid and CPR certification required or training provided within 30 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Accepts and processes residents staying in the housing facility overnight.
• Maintains accurate records and logs containing pertinent information.
• Monitors activity of residents on assigned shift to ensure safety and house rules compliance.
• Checks rooms and fire equipment for proper working order before arrival of residents.
• Prepares intake cards, resident roster, and property records.
• Distributes meal tickets, towels, linens, and personal hygiene items; secures medications.
• Completes required paperwork representing client intake for the day and inputs data into computer systems.
• Turns away clients who are ineligible for shelter accommodations.
• Ensures facility is neat and properly maintained.
