Job summary

New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, Connecticut, is seeking a Part-time Weekends Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team. The role supports hospital operations by delivering high-quality veterinary care and exceptional client service during weekend ER shifts.

Qualifications

1+ year veterinary technician experience (ER preferred)
Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills
Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally charged situations
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Experienced and/or credentialed technicians encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Triage and stabilize patients
Place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics
Monitor critical patients and assist with emergency procedures
Administer medications, CRIs, and blood products
Calculate medical dosages accurately and administer meds
Provide clear, compassionate updates to clients
Support with patient care and documentation
