Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Overnight Emergency Receptionist to join our 24/7 team. You will welcome clients, coordinate admissions, explain next steps, and help families stay calm during emergencies while ensuring smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has veterinary receptionist or healthcare client-service background, can work independently overnight, and communicates clearly by phone and in person.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary reception or healthcare client service.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Strong communication with clients in person and by phone.
• Comfort handling emotional, urgent, and difficult conversations.
• Organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and support clients arriving for Emergency and Specialty care
• Coordinate patient arrival, check-in, discharge, transfers, follow-up communication
• Communicate clearly during stressful and emotional situations
• Manage phones, scheduling, payments, records, and client requests
• Coordinate with emergency veterinarians, technicians, and specialty teams
• Maintain efficient patient flow during overnight hours
• Maintain accurate client and patient information
• Support continuity of communication between overnight and daytime teams
• Maintain a clean, organized client-facing environment
