Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant for overnight shifts in Redmond, WA. You will support your team, comfort pet parents, and learn the ropes in real time, covering triage, treatments, and the clinical workflow.

You’ll work with credentialed technicians and veterinarians to monitor anesthesia, assist with procedures, and grow into advanced responsibilities through guided training paths, while embracing a fast-paced, compassionate ER environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program a plus.
• 1+ years in a veterinary assistant role (emergency or specialty experience is a bonus!).
• Basic computer skills and EMR software familiarity.
• Excellent communicator with pet parents and team.

Responsibilities

• Be the first warm welcome and a steady support, triaging incoming patients and guiding them toward care.
• Assist with treatments, nursing care, and diagnostics, from bloodwork and imaging to catheter placement and oxygen support.
• Work alongside credentialed technicians and veterinarians for anesthesia and sedation cases.
• Set up and manage IV fluids, blood transfusions and medication administration.
• Assist during every moment of care: outpatient or inpatient, exam room to treatment area.
