Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC in Redmond, WA is seeking a part-time Emergency Veterinary Assistant to join the fast-paced ER team from day one, supporting your colleagues, comforting pet parents, and gaining hands-on experience across triage, treatments, and patient care.

You will work with credentialed technicians and veterinarians, learn CPR and RECOVER certification, and grow toward advanced roles through guided training pathways, with a focus on personal growth and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is a plus.
• 1+ year in a veterinary assistant role (emergency or specialty experience is a bonus!).

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients and guide them toward care.
• Assist with treatments, nursing care, and diagnostics including bloodwork and imaging.
• Set up and monitor anesthesia and sedation with clinicians.
• Manage IV fluids, blood transfusions, and medication administration.
• Join rounds to maintain continuity of care.
• Learn CPR and pursue RECOVER certification (training provided).
• Grow into more advanced responsibilities such as anesthesia support.
