The position emphasizes hands-on work, teamwork, and starting the day strong. Overnight shifts are required, and applicants must be 18 or older to comply with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions with attention to detail.
• Perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count and record accurately.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one.
• Prepare your work area and equipment for donut finishing at the start of each shift.
• Remove donuts and rolls from the freezer and prepare them for finishing, including placing danishes and cinnamon rolls in the proof box.
• Heat donuts and rolls in the oven prior to glazing or icing, then ice and garnish for the donut case.
• Review special orders and prepare them as needed.
• Prepare icings and the glazing area for the following day.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout your shift.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress standards.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Work with customers at the counter and assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Adhere to Hy-Vee policies and individual store guidelines.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
