Job summary

Hy-Vee is hiring a Donut Finisher in the Bakery department. You’ll glaze, ice, and present donuts, bagels, and pastries to keep the case appealing and inviting for customers.

You’ll provide friendly service, stock the bakery efficiently, and maintain cleanliness and safety while working on a fast-paced shift. Starting wage ranges from $13.50 to $16.80 per hour depending on experience.

This is an entry-level role with on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within Hy-Vee.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or less of similar or related experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the counter or elsewhere in the store.
• Prepare work area and equipment for donut finishing at the start of each shift.
• Heat donuts and rolls, glaze, ice, and garnish for the display case.
• Review special orders and prepare them as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to hygiene standards.
• Report to work as scheduled and support bakery operations as needed.
