Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Donut Finisher for our Bakery department in Des Moines, IA. You’ll glaze, icing, garnish, and present fresh donuts, bagels and pastries while delivering friendly service to customers.

This hourly role emphasizes attention to detail, cleanliness, and teamwork in a fast-paced store environment. High school diploma or equivalent and up to 6 months of related experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Six months or less of similar or related experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the counter.
• Prepare work area and equipment for donut finishing at shift start.
• Prepping donuts for finishing from freezer and placing in proof box.
• Heat donuts and rolls, apply icing and garnish for display donuts.
• Review and fulfill special orders as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work area throughout shift.
• Adhere to Hy-Vee policies and personal hygiene/dress standards.
• Answer the phone and assist customers with information.
