Old Dominion Freight Line is hiring a Dockworker in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on loading/unloading freight safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual methods while ensuring shipments are accurately placed on trailers.

You will read labels, complete freight forms, and secure cargo with straps and airbags. A strong work ethic, safety commitment, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must know safe lifting and freight handling procedures.
• Familiar with forms used in freight movement (shipping orders, manifests, freight bills).
• Ability to use the dock yard management system to monitor shipment locations.
• Must be available to work all needed shifts and operate a handheld tablet.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or manual methods per DOT guidelines.
• Transport freight around the service center as needed.
• Monitor freight locations with the Dock Yard Management System.
• Read shipping labels and complete various freight forms.
• Secure freight with airbags, straps, and other supplies.
• Ensure quality loading of all trailers.
• Work with service center personnel in a fast-paced environment.
