Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional for our Group Home in Lenoir, NC. The DSP provides person-centered support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement to promote independence and dignity.

The role requires an on-site presence, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance. Overnight shifts are required during each rotation, and the team emphasizes compassionate, client-centered care.

Formación

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
• One year of documented experience with the population served preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and assist mobility.
• Speak clearly, write legibly, and perform repetitive motions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide person-centered support with activities of daily living and transportation to promote independence.
• Collaborate with families, supervisors, and healthcare providers to support goals and safety.
• Deliver direct support services, including skill-building, meals, medication assistance, and community activities.
• Document progress notes, medication records, and required health and safety reports, ensuring quality care.
• Participate in supervision and training to support continuous quality improvement.
