Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Raleigh, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with IDD in their group homes and community settings. This part-time and full-time role offers hands-on care, daily living assistance, and transportation support in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety knowledge helpful.
• Excellent interpersonal and dependable work ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based care.
• Assist with daily living tasks (housekeeping, meals, dressing, personal care).
• Provide transportation to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Plan and organize the client’s schedule and activities.
• Document daily care and activities in the electronic health record.
