Job summary

Grafton is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the Children & Adolescence program in Richmond. The role involves overnight residential support, assisting with bedtime routines, morning care, and documenting client progress.

You will implement treatment plans, monitor safety, and support education and daily living activities in a team-driven environment. The position offers night shifts (10:30pm-8:30am or 10:30pm-9:30am) with a competitive starting pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED with 6 months experience with children.
• Associate’s degree and 3 months experience with children; Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, participate in direct care and plan implementation for clients; assist with bedtime, morning routines, and documentation.
• Maintain health and safety checks; monitor behavioral strategies and progress per plans.
• Ensure safe residence/classroom; assist with meals, transportation, and finances; promote nutrition and hygiene.
• Collaborate with Treatment Team; provide positive, trauma-informed care; maintain engagement and report activities.
