Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in Winston-Salem, NC is hiring a Developmental Specialist for overnight shifts. Sleepover at a residential setting is required, with a focus on supporting people to achieve personal goals and engage in their communities.

You will help individuals develop relationships, participate in activities, and ensure safety and rights are respected while documenting progress and communicating with the team. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess each person’s hopes and goals and provide supports to achieve them.
• Support people in developing relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist people in participating fully in their community according to their interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of each person receiving services; assist with advocacy.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Maintain person-centered, positive relationships promoting self-determination.
• Contribute to assessment/planning processes and implement individual plans.
• Complete required documentation (goals, actions, incident reports, timesheets).
• Maintain daily progress notes and communication logs; attend trainings and meetings.
