Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is hiring a direct care worker to support individuals in residential settings in North Carolina. The role includes sleepovers and helping clients pursue personal goals, build community connections, and participate in activities aligned with their interests.

You will advocate for rights, assist with daily living tasks, and maintain necessary documentation while following program guidelines and safety protocols. Training and supervision are provided as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license (USA).
• Experience with individuals with mental health issues, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess each person’s hopes and provide supports to help achieve goals.
• Help individuals build community relationships and advocacy.
• Support participation in community activities aligned with interests.
• Protect rights and promote self-determination for each person.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Maintain person-centered relationships using positive approaches.
• Complete required documentation: progress notes, incident reports, and timesheets.
• Assist with daily living tasks and transportation as needed.
