Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Direct Care Worker for a part-time role in residential settings. Sleepovers are required to support individuals in their daily living and safety needs, helping them pursue personal goals.

You will assist with daily activities, documentation, and coordinating with the team to promote safety, independence, and community participation for people with mental health needs and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders is preferred or required depending on population served.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support individuals in pursuing their hopes, dreams, and desires.
• Help people build relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist with participation in community activities aligned with individual interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals and support advocacy efforts.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Document progress notes, goals, actions, and incident reports accurately.
• Complete daily progress notes and maintain communication logs.
