Job summary

Crisis Connections is seeking a dedicated Crisis Intervention Specialist to support our 24/7 Regional Crisis Line from our Seattle call center. You will work behind the scenes with frontline phone staff during overnight hours, ensuring compassionate, evidence-based care for callers in crisis.

Responsibilities include real-time crisis assessment, intervention planning, and coordination with hospitals and partners. Paid benefits, ongoing training, and a mission-driven team support your growth.

Qualifications

• Background in behavioral health, crisis intervention, or substance use services.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
• Comfort working with multiple technology systems at once.
• Education/experience per above options.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate assessment skills, engage in intervention planning, and crisis resolution for people in crisis.
• Support professionals by finding the most appropriate intervention for their clients.
• Dispatch mobile crisis teams and provide linkages to Designated Crisis Responders.
• Coordinate care and resources with hospitals, community partners, and other professionals.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in training, quality improvement, and team collaboration.
