Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Stocking Clerk to help ensure shelves are stocked with a variety of food and grocery items. You will move products from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations, pull backstock, and dispose of cardboard in backroom areas.

No two days are the same, and you’ll work with leadership to complete assigned areas on time. You’ll join a family-oriented retailer that values teamwork, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology
• Follow processes in an organized, efficient way
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.
