Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and organized for a great shopping experience. You will move products from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations, pull backstock, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

You’ll work with leadership to meet deadlines, assist customers as needed, and perform overnight shifts to prepare the store for opening. A team-focused mindset and physical stamina are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move products from pallets/carts to shelf locations accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to complete assigned areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.
