Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service while keeping shelves stocked and organized. You will engage with customers, learn our systems, and support seamless store operations overnight to prep for the day.

You’ll move products to correct locations, assist leadership, and help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment. Teamwork and reliability are essential in this family-focused retailer.

Qualifications

• Role requires basic technology use and customer service aptitude.
• Must follow store procedures with organized, efficient work habits.
• Ability to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a willingness to support shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations efficiently
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to complete areas on time

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your workensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You'll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
