Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to help keep our store operations smooth with merchandise replenishment, backroom organization, and friendly customer service.

This entry level role requires you to stock shelves, move products from pallets to aisles, handle backstock, and support overnight pre-opening tasks while upholding safety and teamwork.

You'll work with leadership, learn company procedures, and participate in a fast-paced retail environment that values reliability and initiative.

Qualifications

• Able to learn and use basic technology.
• Follow processes in an organized way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Experience with pallets or forklifts is a plus.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to shelf locations efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of recycling/trash in backroom areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers when needed.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your workensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You'll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
