Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician II to keep our Cedar Park, TX campus safe and operational by maintaining building, grounds and equipment.

Duties include replacing lights and ballasts, lawn care, painting and caulking, handling work orders, and maintaining mechanical rooms. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year in maintenance, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year building maintenance or related experience.
• Technical or trade school classes in related field.
• Basic carpentry skills and electrical knowledge.
• Painting and plumbing knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work nights, weekends or early mornings.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Replace lights and ballasts in fluorescent fixtures, upgrading to higher efficiency retrofit.
• Perform lawn care: mowing, trimming, edging, racking, landscaping, snow removal, ice treatment.
• Be precise: painting, patching, caulking building structures, rooms and equipment.
• Collaborate: complete work orders and enter notes.
• Support: maintain mechanical rooms and equipment.
