Job summary

Technicut Tool Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm, with a pay range of $18.00–$32.00 per hour depending on experience.

You will perform general maintenance across the facility, complete preventive tasks, respond to work orders, and ensure OSHA safety compliance. Experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and light electrical work is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade or vocational certificate a plus.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks: carpentry, painting, patching, plumbing, and light electrical supervision.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment on a regular schedule with occasional after-hours support.
• Reliable and detail-oriented; able to document work accurately.
• Familiar with OSHA safety basics, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across the facility: painting, patching, carpentry, plumbing fixtures, and light electrical work.

What You Bring

Must-have:

• High school diploma or GED (trade or vocational certificate a plus).
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks: basic carpentry, painting, patching, plumbing fixtures, and light electrical under supervision.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment on a regular schedule with occasional support needs outside normal hours.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to document completed work accurately.
• Familiar with OSHA safety basics, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.

Nice-to-have (for Level II or III candidates):

• 2 or more years of hands-on facilities or building maintenance experience.
• Skilled troubleshooting and repair on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or compressed air equipment.
• Forklift or aerial lift certification.
• Experience coordinating with outside vendors and contractors.
• 5 or more years of experience with the ability to mentor junior technicians and lead maintenance projects independently.
