Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician II to maintain building, grounds and equipment in our Colony, TX facility. The role includes performing lighting upgrades, plumbing, and HVAC repairs to keep operations running smoothly.

The position follows a rotating 12-hour schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with weekly rotating days off and a three-day weekend every other week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year building maintenance or related experience.
• Technical or trade school classes in related field.
• Basic carpentry skills and electrical knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work night/weekend/early morning shifts.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Replace lights and ballasts in fluorescent fixtures with retrofit upgrades.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and maintain plumbing systems.
• Perform corrective and routine repairs of mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Maintain routine records of inspections, maintenance and repairs in a computer-based system.
• Support and maintain mechanical rooms and equipment.

Pay Range: $22.10 - 27.40 Hourly

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Replace: Lights and ballasts in fluorescent fixtures while upgrading to higher efficiency retrofit.
• Repair: Plumbing fixtures, unclog drains and maintain plumbing systems.
• Preform: Corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of minor problems with mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Collaborate: Maintain routine records of all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system, within a computer based management system.
• Support: Maintain mechanical rooms and equipment.

• Technical or trade school classes in related field

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
