Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) in Cedar Park, Texas, seeks an Overnight Building Maintenance Technician II to keep our world-class facility running smoothly. You will perform lighting retrofits, landscaping tasks, and general building upkeep in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year building maintenance or related experience.
• Technical or trade school classes in related field.
• Basic carpentry skills and electrical knowledge.
• Painting and plumbing knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours.
• Pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Replace lights and ballasts in fluorescent fixtures and upgrade to higher efficiency retrofits.
• Perform lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and ice treatment.
• Be precise with painting, patching, and caulking building structures and equipment.
• Collaborate to complete work orders and enter notes.
• Support and maintain mechanical rooms and equipment.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Replace: Lights and ballasts in fluorescent fixtures while upgrading to higher efficiency retrofit
• Preform: Lawn care – mowing, trimming, edging, racking – landscaping, snow removal, ice treatment
• Be Precise: Painting, patching, and caulking building structures, room and equipment
• Collaborate: Effectively complete work orders and enter in job notes
• Support: Maintain mechanical rooms and equipment
