Job summary

Center For Family Services is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician for the Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center, a 24-hour psychiatric crisis center for adults. This overnight, full-time role supports admissions, provides trauma-informed care, and collaborates with clinicians to ensure safe, therapeutic care.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s in behavioral health, at least two years in the field, a valid driver’s license, and preferred certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field.
• At least two years of experience working with individuals with a serious mental illness or with a substance use disorder.
• Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years.
• Behavioral health technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the admission process of new consumer admissions.
• Record inventory logs of consumer belongings and secure valuables.
• Work with Licensed Clinician to facilitate care and disposition planning.
• Apply trauma-informed care approaches to consumer interactions.
• Provide ongoing observation and de-escalation as needed.
• Coordinate transportation and paperwork to ensure timely service delivery.
