Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program in Annandale, VA seeks a Behavioral Health Tech I to support patients from admission through discharge. You will assist in safety, interventions, group activities, and daily routines while documenting care and coordinating with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Substance Use Division: 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Provides exemplary customer service to all patients.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality of records.
• Facilitates daily patient needs per program schedule, including routines and meals.
• Assists nursing staff with duties and patient supervision.
• Responds to crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions.
• Documents shift notes, group notes, and other required records timely.
• Maintains organized, safe environment and completes housekeeping duties.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; completes online trainings.
