The Wood Group Behavioral Health Services in Austin, TX is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals facing behavioral health challenges, promoting stability and well-being through structured care and empathetic support.

This full-time role includes overnight shifts from 7pm to 7am on a rotating 12-hour schedule; duties include ensuring resident safety, assisting with meals and medication procedures, documentation, and upholding dignity and respect in all

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Complete items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
• Supervise resident medication procedures; ensure proper timing and counts.
• Maintain daily chart documentation.
• Familiarize with The Wood Group's policy and procedures.
