Socket.dev is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (PRN) to support residents in a mental health facility in Texas. The role features overnight and daytime PRN shifts to cover call outs and a focus on safety, dignity, and quality care.

Responsibilities include supervising medications, charting, meals, and adherence to facility policies. The position requires a high school diploma and a genuine desire to help others, with BH certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals following the facility menu.
• Complete items listed on the facility chore sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Supervise medication procedures and document narcotics counts on each shift.
• Maintain daily chart documentation.
• Familiarize yourself with The Wood Group’s policies and procedures.

Behavioral Health Technician (PRN) – Mental Health Facility

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Behavioral Health Technician to join our mental health facility. • Overnight & Daytime PRN staff ( needed for call outs)

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
