The Wood Group is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support residents, ensuring safety and well-being through compassionate care and structured support.

The role includes overnight 12-hour shifts, daily charting, supervision of medication procedures, and collaboration with the community to deliver high-quality behavioral health services in Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted
• Complete items listed on the facility chore sheet as directed by the administrator
• Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect
• Supervise resident medication procedures and ensure proper timing; narcotics counted and documented on each shift
• Daily chart documentation
• Familiarize self with The Wood Group’s policies and procedures including employee handbook

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our mental health care team. In this vital role, you will support individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, helping them achieve stability and improved well-being through compassionate care and structured support. Full-time shift available:

• Overnight 7pm to 7am- (12hr rotating schedule)
• PRN shifts (as needed for call outs)

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
