Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Troy, MI is seeking an Assistant Commissary Bakery Manager to oversee the bakery operations overnight. You will supervise production, ensure quality, manage labor goals, and implement new recipes while developing team members.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, six months baking experience, and prior management experience. Overnight and weekend shifts are required; compensation is based on experience with around 50 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months baking experience is required.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work overnights and weekends (shifts can begin as early as 5pm).
• Ability to work in extreme cold, wet, humid, or hot conditions.
• Must be able to stand and walk 8+ hours.
• Ability to multitask and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all bakery functions including production, quality, labor, and gross profit goals.
• Coordinate workflow within the bakery and production activities.
• Assist with implementing new recipes and products.
• Develop associates through training, supervision, delegation and rewards/discipline.
• Train and supervise associates on equipment use and safety.
