Job summary

Hy-Vee in Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Baker to prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, manage proofing and frying, and lead bakery clerks to ensure daily production goals are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related training helpful.
• Over six months up to one year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver outstanding service throughout the store.
• Set up production schedule and prioritize daily and future orders.
• Prepare, bake, fry, and handle department products; pull from freezer/cooler as needed.
• Review product freshness and shelf life; anticipate needs for current and following days.
• Lead bakery clerks and provide direction to ensure department standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety, and adhere to dress code and guidelines.
