Job summary

Key Program is seeking Overnight Awake Shift Workers in Worcester, MA for a residential program serving up to nine adolescents referred by the MA Department of Children and Families (DCF). The Shift Worker is responsible for the welfare of the children/youth during overnight hours (11pm – 8am), monitoring clients, bed checks, and implementing safety procedures.

This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $24, with additional pay for bilingual skills and our referral program.

Qualifications

• College coursework and one year of relevant experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid state driver’s license and legally registered and insured car for work use
• Commitment to participate in required trainings and certifications in FA/CPR/AED, MA Medication Administration Program (MAP) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention.

Responsibilities

• Remains awake, alert, and security conscious during overnight shift (11pm–8am).
• Performs and documents client bed checks every 15 minutes and security checks.
• Engages clients and develops positive, supportive professional relationships.
• Follows safety and security policies and supervises clients.
• Assists clients with routines including wake-up, meals, school prep, medication administration, and transportation.
• Notifies and documents actual or suspected incidents in a timely manner.
