Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System is seeking an Admissions Supervisor for overnights (Sun-Tues, 7pm-7am) to oversee the admissions team and ensure efficient patient flow. This role emphasizes clinical assessment, milieu management, and staff leadership in a high-quality behavioral health setting.

You will prioritize admissions, coordinate with the business office for financial counseling, and serve as a training preceptor while maintaining a compassionate, compliant approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social services field or RN preferred.
• In some states, may require nursing registration with a related degree.
• 1+ years in healthcare admissions; 1+ year supervisory/lead in admissions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and supervise duties during shifts to promote patient safety and departmental efficiency.
• Prioritize potential admissions based on patient needs and capacity.
• Demonstrate milieu management to create a conducive environment.
• Apply clinical assessment, diagnoses and interventions with patients.
• Coordinate with the business office for timely financial counseling when needed.
• Provide guidance to staff and report challenges to leadership.
• Maintain EMTALA logs for each patient seen by admissions, if applicable.
• Act as a preceptor during staff training.
