Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System seeks a Behavioral Health Associate for overnight weekend shifts. The role provides personal care under clinical or nursing supervision and emphasizes patient safety, empathy, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include documenting in patient records, assisting with daily living activities, and facilitating group sessions to support rehabilitation and independence in patients at Belmont’s Philadelphia facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
• Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals as needed.
• Document timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in patient records.
• Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, significant others and staff.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate observations to nursing staff.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.
• Obtain vital signs, height and weight and document in patient records.
• Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups covering social skills, coping skills, anger management and independent living skills.
• Engage patients in activities aligned with treatment goals.
• Complete and maintain required documentation; assist with incident follow-up and paperwork.
• May provide transportation for patients or coordinate with staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
