Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is hiring a Groundman to join our team supporting overhead electrical distribution system work. You will assist the crew with construction, maintenance and repair, focusing on safety and efficiency.

You will report to the Foreman and participate in on-call rotations for outages and emergencies. The position requires physical stamina, a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days, and readiness to travel long distances on short notice.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required; able to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work outside normal hours including weekends and overtime.
• Comfortable performing physical labor and using PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew in construction, maintenance and repair of overhead electricity distribution systems.
• Help install and repair power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Partake in on-call rotation for outages, storms and emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.
