Job summary

Pike Corporation is hiring a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will work under a Foreman, performing tasks that keep power lines safe and reliable.

Your daily duties include assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair of lines, poles, insulators and related hardware, while maintaining vehicles and equipment and working outdoors in all weather. Overtime and on-call rotations are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort with outdoor work in varying and extreme weather.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair lines, poles, insulators, and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and respond to outages.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
• Communicate using hand signals and signals on-site.
