Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Groundman to support overhead electrical distribution projects. You will assist the Foreman with construction, repair and maintenance while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The position requires physical endurance, willingness to travel, and readiness for overtime, outages, and on-call rotations to keep critical infrastructure operating safely.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; able to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
• Outdoor work in varying weather and environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Assist with installation and repair of lines, poles, insulators and hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, wind and storm conditions.
• Participate in outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
• Inspect PPE and determine appropriate PPE usage.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
