Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman in the United States (SC/Haddreville area context provided). This role focuses on constructing and repairing overhead distribution systems, including energized and de-energized lines. Travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, may be required.

You will report to the Foreman and work as part of a safety-first team. Essential duties include installation and repair of overhead lines, adherence to switching and tagging procedures,

Qualifications

• Three years of recent overhead line experience required.
• Valid CDL license required for travel to job sites.
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice.
• Comfort with working at heights and outside in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding and voltage isolation procedures.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme conditions and be available for outages and emergencies.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques and troubleshoot faults.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers and maintain equipment.
