Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC seeks a Class B Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems, including energized and de-energized lines. You may travel to out-of-state sites as needed and will report to the Foreman. Safety comes first in every task.

Essential duties include installing lines, poles, insulators and hardware, performing live-line work with proper PPE, and operating bucket trucks and related equipment. Expect outdoor work, long hours, weekends, and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Three years of overhead line experience required.
• CDL license is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outside hours.
• Capable of live-line work with proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding and voltage procedures.
• Climb structures and work at heights using approved methods.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and respond to outages.
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response.
