Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety‑minded Class B Lineman to construct, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems. You may travel to out‑of‑state sites and work on energized or de‑energized lines under supervision of the Foreman.

You will operate bucket trucks and related equipment, perform live‑line work with gloves and hot sticks, and work outdoors in all weather. Overtime, outages and emergency callouts are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Three years of overhead line experience required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including outages, weekends, and holidays.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures, grounding and voltage control with proper PPE and tools.
• Climb structures using approved methods and operate bucket trucks and related equipment.
• Work outdoors and be prepared for outages, storms, and on‑call rotations.
• Conduct live‑line work using gloving and hot‑stick techniques and troubleshoot faults.
