Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman in Albany, GA to build, repair and maintain overhead distribution lines safely. You will work on energized and de-energized systems and may travel to different job sites as needed.

The role requires a CDL, 3 years of overhead line experience, and the ability to work at heights, in all weather, including outages. You will operate bucket trucks and other equipment while following strict safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.
• Willing to work out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and maintain overhead distribution systems safely.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage on energized/de-energized lines with proper tools and test equipment.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and respond to outages and emergencies.
• Perform live de-line work using approved gloving and hot de-stick techniques.
• Adhere to all safety protocols including PPE and insulating procedures.
