Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems. Travel to multiple sites, including out-of-state locations, may be required. You will report to the Foreman and work with bucket trucks and other line equipment.

Safety is a core focus; candidates must meet physical requirements and be prepared for varied conditions, on-call rotations and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Overhead line experience required.
• Valid CDL license required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Extended hours, weekends and on-call work required.
• Out-of-state job assignments may occur.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems safely.
• Install and repair overhead lines, poles, insulators and hardware.
• Apply switching, tagging and grounding procedures on energized/de-energized lines.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in all weather and support outages or emergencies including on-call.
• Perform live de-line work with insulated PPE and troubleshoot faults.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE; use insulated protective gear.
