Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Class A Lineman to safely construct and repair overhead distribution systems. This role requires working on energized and de-energized lines, and sometimes traveling to job sites as needed, reporting to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include leading crews, mentoring apprentices, installing conductors and hardware, and performing live-line work with proper PPE. Outages and on-call rotations are expected.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work extended hours and outages.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in the absence of the foreman and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install/repair overhead lines, poles, insulators, conductors and hardware.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and related equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and during outages or emergencies.
