Job summary

River City Construction is seeking a Distribution Overhead Lineman 2nd Class for the Virginia/North Carolina region. The role involves climbing, setting poles, installing transformers, and working on energized lines with safety as a priority.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of field experience, be willing to travel, and meet the physical requirements including lifting and working in adverse conditions. CDL is preferred and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of recent field experience.
• Must travel to multiple locations as required by the job.
• Lift and carry 50 lbs+ and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members in the absence of the Foreman.
• Set poles and anchors; install and maintain distribution components.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary electrical systems.
• Work safely on energized high voltage lines and in various weather
• Maintain vehicles and tools; conduct pre-job briefings and job prints
