Job summary

River City Construction is seeking an entry-level Overhead 3rd Class Lineman to assist in the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution lines, transformers, meters, and related equipment at job sites. Expect climbing wood poles, ladders, and towers while working on energized and de-energized systems.

You will follow safety rules, support installation or removal of conductors and equipment, frame/install poles, maintain vehicles and tools, and participate in pre-job

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a related role.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to travel and work at different locations for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow all company safety rules and policies on energized and de-energized overhead work.
• Assist in installation or removal of overhead conductors, capacitors, regulators, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Frame, install, or remove wood, steel, or concrete poles and supports.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, PPE, and tools in good working order.
• Contribute to the Pre-Job Briefing.
